The Biggest in the World

This week saw the opening of the largest
CHANEL boutique in the world

Yes! it's here in my home town-London.

It's 3 storeys high and 12,600 square feet!

 The stats surprised me too as 
I thought the biggest had to be in Paris





The centre-piece is a HUGE sculpture 
inspired by Coco Chanel's pearls. It's made from
Venetian blown glass.
What do you think?





The boutique could easily be mistaken for a stately home.



No detail is left out which include; 
*lush tweed sofas



*hand stitched curtains with pearls
*gorgeous tweed chairs which line the hand-bag bar
*crystal chandeliers






*silk woven walls  supporting some of the
most expensive handbags in the world



Apparently the changing rooms are the epitome
of decadence (I like decadence ;-)

I am going to visit on Friday. I hope
it lives up to all the hype.

      Ha!! I wish Kim. Hubs is coming with me but I think it's more to keep an eye on my credit card than any interest in the shop ;-) I will try and come away with something however small ;-)

    You had landed in Chanel Heaven!! Wow, this boutique is truly spectacular, we don't have even one here in SA, so I imagine how fabulous the biggest one must be. I want to live in there :)

    I'm surprised that we have the biggest store and I think the sculpture being inspired by Coco's pearls is wonderful and a lovely idea. It's certainly a very luxurious and comfortable place to shop!

    Wow Vanessa! This is incredible and the Venetian glass "pearls" are a show stopper for sure. Love the dress..classic Chanel! The interior is obviously designed so visitors can rest ;) as their wife or significant other shop. I'm sure you will enjoy your visit there!!

    Thanks for visiting today! I'm assuming agave was banned because its a vegetable based high fructose sugar. Agave isn't as great as we once thought it was. The question is .. Is it better to use a little agave or a traditional mix or liqueur that contains HFCS?? I go back with this one;)
