Botanical Beauties

Yesterday one of the social events of the year (in London)
kicked off-The Chelsea Flower Show.

For me this is the start of Summer and for once
the weather was fabulous.

Kate Middleton fresh from Pippa's wedding
made her arrival in this mid-length
dahlia-printed silk charmeuse midi dress by Rochas.

What do you think?
I must admit I feel she is dressing much
older than her years. I felt the same with the
dress she wore at Pippa's wedding and I
kind of feel the same about this one.

Am I wrong?
What do you think?

Anyway regardless of whether you like the dress,
it did get me thinking about all things botanical.

So here are some of my favs at the moment.

This little number from Net-a-porter is now
flying off the shelves. It is a printed dress
made from fluid silk crepe.

How could you be sad wearing this?

Chelsea Flower Show, Flowers, floral, scented candles, home decor

I absolutely love these candles by Wood Grey.

Hand-poured into a traditional Mason Jar in Brooklyn, New York using
100% soy wax for an eco-friendly, clean burn.  Available here

Gorgeous skeleton leaf brass coasters from one of my
favourite home interior stores here in the UK
(and it also happens to be local to me which
is SO convenient for me but a worry for my
Husband ;-)
Available from Oka

Chelsea Flower Show, Flowers, stationary, notebooks, floral

I am a notebook junkie.
Mind you it can't be any old notebook.
I love gold gilt edged pages, a sumptuous cover,
satin marker ribbon.........you get the picture.

These notebooks tick all the boxes.
I also love giving these as gifts.

Flowers, jewellery, green, purple. rings

These stunning rings epitomise all that is botanical; the
verdant green of lush leaves or Mediterranean olives and
deep sultry purple as dark and sensuous as a floral Tom
Ford scent. Available here and here

OK that's it folks.
Would love to know what you think of my picks.
Are you heading to any flowers shows where you are?
Is it just not your thing?
Do you like wearing floral patterns?

As always I love when you speak to me ;-)

  1. Pretty, pretty! I'm loving all the botanicals, Vannessa. While I enjoy a 'ladylike' dress from time to time, I agree with you on this one. Kate is still young-I'd love to see a bit more of a chic style for her. As always, your jewels are FAB!!!
