Beach Bling

Here's my question Lovelies.
Do you do bling on the beach?

I was surprised when I moved to the Med how many woman
load up the bling to go to the beach (just stopping short
of looking like Mr T's wife ;-)

If I'm having lunch on the beach then
I will add just one statement piece, but to mess
around in the sand and water?

summer jewelry, summer jewellery, gemstones, cuffs, hoop earrings, gold

summer jewelry, summer jewellery, gemstones, turquoise, turquoise jewelry

How cute are these?

cuffs, summer jewelry, summer jewellery, gemstones, purple jewelry,

stacking bangles, summer jewelry, summer jewellery, gemstones

The perfect spot

At the end of the day there
are no rules.

My kinda girl!

Would love to hear your views
on bling to the beach

  1. i've seen celebrities wear a lot of bling on yachts. i think it's pretty, but honestly if I go to the beach I don't want all of that on me if it's hot. LOL maybe if it's cooler.

  2. Hi dear, Thanks for sharing your fashion opinion with me! I think your aim is to swim in the sea, then maybe bling is not such a good idea, but if you're out there sunbathing and just having a great time, then why not pile it on. Love the pretty cuffs you have featured. Great photo inspiration, the last one is too cute.

  3. Hello my friend... like you if I'm going to enjoy lunch on a patio at the beach - I will bring along one piece (a chunky bangle or dangling earrings or a big ring) I'll pop it on for the meal ...and off if returning back to the beach. I have found sand , and lotion just don't mix with jewelry accessories...Wishing you a brilliant week..xo C. (HHL)

  4. I too have noticed that while enjoying the beaches in Europe. To be honest, I just don't get it, I am there to enjoy my friends, the sand, and water and I do not want to worry about my jewelry.

I love all of these photos!

  8. Perhaps one simple piece to wear sitting in a cabana. I think too much bling is out of place on the sand.

  9. I waer minimal jewellery to the pool or beach. I love the Inès cuff but wouldn't risk wearing it on the beach!

  10. On the Italian Riviera I noticed loads of bling at the beach myself. I'm just returning from a lovely resort in the Caribbean where I didn't notice any. I found myself wearing my rings and sometimes throwing on a water safe bracelet for a touch of shine around the pool. Great post!

  12. This post made me skip to an article I recently saw of Sophia Vergara looking amazing in Greece, blinged up to the max with her swim gear!
I think i'f i'm going in the sea, then most definitely not costume jewellery etc, but I'd still wear my usual rings and watch, anything more and I would be worried about losing it.
If it's a pool party, then probably yes!
Hope all is well with you hun!

  13. This is such a fun post and I like all your pictures! I think a little piece is pretty but if you are planning to actually swim, the bling might attack unwanted ocean visitors!! Lol! If you are boating, bling night be more practical. Fun post! I was recently visiting friends on their very large boat (yacht) wore wedges, a maxi along with my gold bangles. I had to remove the wedges to get on and off and the dress.. Ya gotta watch that too!

  14. I don't normally wear beach bling when I go to actually swim and it's not a party atmosphere. I sometimes wear an ankle bracelet with my swimwear, which is minimal and adds just a touch of chic, but I don't wear necklaces or bracelets, as they get in the way. Now, if I were heading to a party on the beach, that would be a different story! ;) Thanks so much for stopping by, Vanessa .. I've enjoyed our twitter chats! xox

  15. I think it depends on what kind of beach you are going to and also what time of the day....Like for sunset beaching I think a bit of bling would do just fine but if you are planning on frolicking around in the surf I would leave the bling at home. Making neclaces myself and living on the beach I know for a fact that the gem stones seem to lose a bit of their sparkle, get duller when you wear it near the salty beach. Great blog I love your Ines Cuff I would def wear that to a sunset beach trip X

  16. I consider myself a girl who really loves her sparkle. I seldom leave my home without at least a statement necklace and diamond stud earrings in (often wearing way more jewelry that this), but I spend way too much time in the water to wear jewelry at the beach.

  17. LOVE this post! Funny I never thought of wearing bling at the beach but always see loads of pics where girls are wearing swimsuits with tons of bling and I'm always so in love with those pics so I think I might! Though to go swimming, no, they might come off and get lost! lol....

  19. I love the beach and I love bling but I am a firm believer that the 2 don't go together! I'm all about comfort and just enjoying myself on the beach, I don't really care how I look. I don't even wear make-up to the beach! *Gasp*
