"My husband gave me a necklace. It's fake; I requested fake. Maybe I'm paranoid, but in this day and age, I don't want something around my neck that's worth more than my head!" (Rita Rudner)

"I would rather lose a good earring than be caught without make-up." (Lana Turner)

  1. Oh, I like these quotes! :) I agree with Rita's philosophy. I love quality pieces too, don't get me wrong but especially when I travel overseas, all jewelry comes off and if I do wear some, it generally is not valuable. If I lost it I wouldn't be heartbroken.

    Happy weekend friend! :)

  3. Such fun quotes, Vanessa! I just LOVE good quotes and these are darling. Makes me want to have all the good ones embroidered on pillows!

I heard one the other day from a tweeter that really haunted me and I've thought about it ever since. It makes you really think about how you spend your days. Don't know where the quote originally came from, but she said "What I do today is important because I've exchanged a day of my life for it."

Have a LOVELY week, sweetie! xoxoxo

  4. Love thee quotes. all true for me to some extent. Perhaps I could handle being seen without makeup instead of losing a favorite earring!

  6. What great quotes. Rita Rudner's dry humor always makes me laugh. :)
