A Gentle Reminder

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person
that wasn’t supposed to ever let you down, probably will.

You will have your heart broken probably more than once,
and it’s harder every time.

You’ll break hearts too,
so remember how it felt when yours was broken.

You’ll fight with your best friend.

You’ll blame a new love for things an old one did.

You’ll cry because time is passing too fast,
and you’ll eventually lose someone you love.

So take too many pictures, laugh too much,
and love like you’ve never been hurt

because every sixty seconds you spend upset
is a minute of happiness you will never get back

Don’t be afraid that your life will end,
Be afraid that it will never begin!!!

What's your plans for a "swinging" week?

Whatever you do, do it with full-on passion, whether it be cleaning your
home, cooking a meal or just enjoying a quiet moment alone.

xx

  1. My week won't be "swinging", it will just be going, like the others and I know there will be some tough moments (it hasn't started very well). But at the thought of being lucky enough to live the "moments", even the tough ones, my heart could burst with happiness and gratitude !xx

  6. Thank you for this, Vanessa. :-) You always, ALWAYS write just what I need to hear. :-) It's been a very stressful week for me so today I got up and went outside and hauled wood and it felt GREAT!! Just to do something physical. I feel so much more peaceful now. :-)

  8. Beautiful post, Vanessa. Loved it ... and it's so true. Actually both of our posts are sort of about being in the moment, living and having fun while we can ... and I even talk about swinging! Birds of a feather flock together? ;) Hope you had a fabulous weekend!

  11. Hi Vanessa, Your post are always so beautiful. Yes time does go by so fast! It is so important to treasure even the smallest of memories. There are so many wonderful things that happen in life that I wish I could bottle them. Then of course there's so many things in life that happen that I wish I could forget. These things make us stronger and wiser. I always enjoy the way you think.
    Thanks for sharing.
