As we grow up, we learn that even the one person
that wasn’t supposed to ever let you down, probably will.
You will have your heart broken probably more than once,
and it’s harder every time.
You’ll break hearts too,
so remember how it felt when yours was broken.
You’ll fight with your best friend.
You’ll blame a new love for things an old one did.
You’ll cry because time is passing too fast,
and you’ll eventually lose someone you love.
So take too many pictures, laugh too much,
and love like you’ve never been hurt
because every sixty seconds you spend upset
is a minute of happiness you will never get back
Don’t be afraid that your life will end,
Be afraid that it will never begin!!!
What's your plans for a "swinging" week?
Whatever you do, do it with full-on passion, whether it be cleaning your
home, cooking a meal or just enjoying a quiet moment alone.
xx
My week won't be "swinging", it will just be going, like the others and I know there will be some tough moments (it hasn't started very well). But at the thought of being lucky enough to live the "moments", even the tough ones, my heart could burst with happiness and gratitude !xx
ReplyDeleteYaaay! You "got it". Gratitude is the power that changes everything. TYSM for stopping by xx
DeleteThat's life honey and so beautifully summed up xx

I can relate to so many of these...it makes me realise how similar life experiences can link us all, as we may have all been through one of two of these you have listed. Great post once again sweety!
ReplyDeleteTYSM Sam. I think as we get older we will have maybe experienced most of those. But it's all part of the University of Life. Have a lovely week Sweets xx
DeleteThank you for this, Vanessa. :-) You always, ALWAYS write just what I need to hear. :-) It's been a very stressful week for me so today I got up and went outside and hauled wood and it felt GREAT!! Just to do something physical. I feel so much more peaceful now. :-)
ReplyDeleteTYSM Krista. I usually write what I'm also feeling at the time. But so pleased it resonated with you Sweets.xx
DeleteThis was just what I needed to hear as I sit here thinking about how incredibly fast this year has gone and how much I still want to accomplish! It was set to be a fairly boring week for me but after reading this, I think I need to make some awesome plans!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Go for it honey! You've still got more than half a year left, and as you know life can turn around in 1 minute ;-)
DeleteBeautiful post, Vanessa. Loved it ... and it's so true. Actually both of our posts are sort of about being in the moment, living and having fun while we can ... and I even talk about swinging! Birds of a feather flock together? ;) Hope you had a fabulous weekend!

Hi Vanessa, Your post are always so beautiful. Yes time does go by so fast! It is so important to treasure even the smallest of memories. There are so many wonderful things that happen in life that I wish I could bottle them. Then of course there's so many things in life that happen that I wish I could forget. These things make us stronger and wiser. I always enjoy the way you think.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
