Spring Trends 2013: My Picks

OK Lovelies, the weather started to warm up here
in the UK, and my thoughts darted quickly to Spring
(before I missed the event that could have lasted all
of a day ;-)

So these are my picks of the Spring trends for 2013.

First up is my fav designer Carolina Herrera. My home in
Spain is literally 2 minutes from one of her stores and it proved
to be a "dangerous" place for me to live. Anyway, I digress.

CH went for pastels. I read pastels will be  going into
Autumn/Winter 2013 also. So maybe it's worth the splurge.

If you are going for pastels I've recommended keep your
jewellery pastel or simple (pastel on pastel seems to be
a big trend also this year)

Diane Von Furstenberg did gorgeous "wearable" bolds
Here are some of my favs.
Again if you are going bold, I would either
accentuate the color you are wearing as with
the stacking bangles that incorporate the same
colors or just go simple.

Stacking bangle set
Elsa pendant
Luisa ring
Viviana earrings

As these are 2 colors I live in, I had to include them.
Both Carolina Herrara (middle image) and Chanel
focused on these colors.
The great thing with these colors is you can
really amp up and go bold, and add just enough
color to add "pop" to your outfit.

Stella earrings
Natalia rings
Lydia ring
Lace pendant

Stripes were also featured for this Spring both Marc Jacobs (images on
the left and right) and Chanel (middle image) went for stripes.

I do love stripes in the Spring and Summer
but am maybe overly conscious about wearing
them. I think they have to be just right without making
me look like I am a pedestrian crossing ;-)
If you are going for stripes keep your bling plain,
bold (if you wish) but simple. You don't want too
much going on with the stripes.

Stacking bangles
Lina earrings
Elisa ring
Mia ring

So there you go Lovelies, my picks.
I am by no means an expert, just selected
what I like ;-)

Which theme are you aiming for this Spring?
Whose designs really took your breath away?
(either from above or other).

Would love to hear you thoughts about
what you are coveting for Spring/Summer.

p.s a special thank to you Ivana who helped me with my collages ;-)

  1. I absolutely adore colour in Spring/Summer it's my 'we're free from drab, greyness'! Love DVF's collection!
I'll be coveting whatever I can when the weather warms up and i'm free from bump! I suppose printed tops will disguise any baby sick, no? lol!

  2. You've picked all my favorite trends, sweets! I don't even consider pastels as a trend anymore: they've been around for a few seasons and I love them so much that I practically see them as a wardrobe staple :) Thank you for all your styling tips, too!

    xx Ivana

  3. I don't wear much colour, so I like the black and white. Although I might be tempted by a pastel or bold colour in the form of a cocktail. Love the stacking bangles.

  4. Good morning mon ami! I'm so loving the pastels ... the dress you are showing on the right is gorgeous! Love the flowing feel and that below knee length. Though some days give me a bold colour - wearing a bold colour (especially red) is a great mood picker upper ... Of course black and white (along with creams/taupe) are staples in my wardrobe. The stripes and bold patterns not so flattering on my 5'2" - "slightly on the healthy" side frame. Thank you for sharing such eye candy today...swooning over the earrings you shared. xo Hugs and blessings CM (HHL)

  5. Except for the bold prints, I agree with everything you've shown us. Good job!

  6. I can't wait to be able to wear dresses! Do you know it was 25 in Marbella today? Anyhow, love all the pieces you have featured, would like the lot, thank you kindly! x

  7. I love stripes trend!! Always! Hope you are having a wonderful day!

  8. I like the stripes, but I'm especially intrigued by the blue & red...might have to try that combo!

  9. I'm a dress girl so I'd have to choose the top designs - so light, airy, and breezy. :-)

  10. Hi darling Vanessa! I dress in black so often (just seem to gravitate toward it) that for spring, I find myself always drawn to pastels for a change of pace. I have been so busy in the studio (as you can tell, as I haven't been able to keep up with my friends as often lately) that I haven't even had a chance to pick up any new pieces for spring, but I need to get out there! Hope all is well with you, sweetness. Sending hugs .. have a great week! XO ~S

  12. Great choices you have here. I always find black and white a classic combo but love bold colors too! Your jewelry matches quite well with all these lovely ideas! Bangles are my favorite! Have a GREAT rest of the week!

  13. I love all of these spring trends. Your collages look great. I think my favorite Spring trend is pastels. I am always so happy to see the pretty pastels each Spring. There is just such a romantic, feminine notion behind them.

  14. Loving the colours, it really is lush to see these amazing colours on womens clothes online

  15. I really like your great collection of jewelry like bangles, bracelets, diamond jewelry and many more, her design and color are more attractive which is easily attract people to buy.
