A jewellery trend that is continuing through
to this Spring and Summer is the chunky
statement necklace
It really lightens up your complexion and brings a
sparkle back to you eyes (and who doesn't need that
every now and then) especially if the
statement necklace has a mix of pearls, beads
crystals and whatever takes your fancy.
A bib statement necklace that starts at the collarbone
can also disguise sun damage to the décolletage.
If you are a "voluptuous" girl then I not only
envy you, but a short, chunky necklace
envy you, but a short, chunky necklace
can refocus.
We really don't want any pendants disappearing down
a cleavage ravine ;-)

Longer necklaces that dangle off the cliff of your
boob area is a real no-no, even if they are your
late great grandmothers pearls, or a "find"
you brought back from Thailand.
Don't go there.

What do you think? Have you been brave enough
to wear a chunky statement bib necklace?
Is there an age-limit to when you should stop
with the chunky statements.
Would love to hear your views as always

Fabulous article to start the day! Accessories have no expiration date ... like some things in fashion. My 5'2" height keeps me from plunging in ~ but love the look and have tried the layering of small collar looks. Wishing you a fabulous week... great photos! xo C. (HHL)
ReplyDeleteTYSM lovely girl xx
DeleteEach necklace is even more beautiful than the next, I do love the striking appeal of a bold statement necklace, the first three crystal ones are stunning. Thanks for taking the time to drop by hun!
ReplyDeleteMy absolute pleasure Sam. xx
ReplyDeleteLove those necklaces and I totally chuckled about never having necklaces hang off the boob cliff LOL
ReplyDeleteI don't consider statement necklaces to be a trend, to me they are a staple and an absolute necessity to liven up those blah outfits (it's not always easy to dress super stylishly at 6am in the morning, right? :) I have quite a collection of pearl, bib and bauble necklaces, and I'm always ready to add one (or three :) more. You've picked some gorgeous pieces, sweetie!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day!

I adore statement necklaces and they way they can dress up a plain top or t-shirt so easily x
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for stopping by, your comments and opinions mean a lot to me.
ReplyDeleteI don't have what I would call a "statement" necklace ... I do have some that border on it, with several rows of pearls twisted together or several rows of stones sparkling, but neither are really a "bib." And I'll be sure when I do get one that I stay away from the "cliff of the boob area!" That sounds dangerous anyway lol! Have a fabulous weekend, sweet Vanessa! xoxo ~S

I love statement necklaces . I do not think there is an age limit but some necklaces ie. plastic or bold style or vibrant colours suited younger people
