Let's Dance

Every day gives us a new chance to
kick off our shoes, draw in a breath
and dance;

to live free of regret and filled with
as much fun, joy and laughter as we can stand.
It's not always easy and I
don't profess to being Pollyanna

BUT
you can either waltz boldly onto the floor, or
sit quietly by the wall receding into the shadows
of fear and self-doubt; fears that you may
look stupid, make others snigger, may
do something  your family doesn't want.........etc

If your life ended tomorrow, what would you
regret NOT doing?

When was the last time you laughed
until it hurt?

If this were the last day of your life, would
you spend it doing what you've been
doing this week?

As Summer slowly draws to a close, I hope we
don't get wrapped up in the non-essential.

I hope we don't forget all the resolutions we
made when we were actually "present" and enjoying
the moment.

Capri-Italy

I hope we can all look back and remember this
season as the time we decided to make every
one of our moments count,

to relish each day as if there would never be another.

I hope that when you get the chance to sit it
out or dance............

you choose to dance lovely lady

New Pieces:

Do share what changes you decided to
make this Summer; how you
plan to dance  your own dance
to you own tune

xxxxx

  1. Hi dear, I found myself having so many 'wonderings' after reading this, it really had me doing some soul searching and I think there are a few things I may regret not doing later. I feel like I need to take the plunge and just do it - like become a patisserie chef. I wish it were easy said than done. Thanks for the motivation.

  2. Sometimes I feel so drawn by the words I read, that it's like I'm hearing my own thoughts :-) Be present to the moment, unleash and dance, draw a deep breath and be who you are. Marvellous :-)

  3. I love your blog Vanessa..and your attitude towards life..you are a sweet God-send. Wanting to lose some excess baggage..weight-wise included..I decided to not diet but to cut my intake exactly in half..same food just less and eat slower..It's working..and also, my daily blog which is joy of my life to share..http://themercurialworld.blogspot.com/

  4. Vanessa ... your words are always right timing!!! I'm finally learning to walk my talk and live each moment. If I were to find out my last day was tomorrow ... I'd have no regrets. This past week I faced my fear of swimsuits post accident ... and freely wore no one but three different bikini's on our trip to the Mayan last week.... I'm learning to feel good in my own skin again. Hugs and blessings, C. (HHL)

  5. So beautiful and inspiring, dear Vannessa!!! You always share what I need to hear. :-) I have made changes this winter (not summer yet for me!): living my life in the ways that please ME not that please others, focusing on doing special little things for me and Bear each day whether it's a dessert or a drink or a cuddle or something, and making time to get out in the sunshine and read a bit each day. :-)
