Getting to Know You

As we have some new friends who recently joined our blog, or popped over for a chat, I thought it would be nice to share some facts about each other (a fun meme).

Here goes:

iv) What's your biggest pet-peeve?

v) What is the last book you read?

vi) Favorite iPad app?
Epicurian, and any apps related to recipes and cooking

vii) What words do you try to live by?
"If you have the choice of being right or kind......always choose kind" and,
"If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all".

viii) What's the most daring thing you've ever done?
Living in Hong-Kong, then moved to the island Mallorca and then to the Spanish mainland.

ix) Favorite Indulgence?
Luxury travel and best ingredients I can buy when on a "cooking mission".

x)What is the most interesting thing in your handbag right now?

Please join in the fun (you don't have to answer all the questions if you don't want too). I would LOVE to get to know you each a bit better xx

  14. Hi Vanessa! Before I answer the questions, wanted to say thanks for your sweet comment ... you're always darling, darling. Okay, here goes (loved your answers)!

    1. Shop. Pretty window displays and boutiques and being around people makes me joyful.
    2. I ask myself if there's a way to do this better? (for whatever I'm doing.)
    3. Only thing left on my list was to stop WORKING and go out for the evening with my husband! And I can check that off!
    4. Probably when someone thinks that because I work from a studio at home that it's not "really" a job .. or thinking that I can stop what I'm doing at the drop of a hat and do my work later.
    5. "Bonjour Happiness" by Jamie Callan.
    6. Don't have an ipad yet.
    7. Do unto others ...
    8. Probably scuba diving for the first time without lessons (with a trusted diving friend).
    9. Luxury hotels and dessert.
    10. So funny -- I just bought a small cross-body Coach bag that hardly holds anything because I wanted something light that I didn't have to hold when running errands, etc. it only has room for my wallet, my phone, a lipstick and a pack of gum! (not very interesting!)

This was fun! Have a great week, sweet Vanessa!

  17. Hi Vanessa! I love all your questions and answers. You have such a kind heart and it always shows through in your post. One thing about me and it drives my hubby and daughter crazy is: I don't know how to relax before EVERYTHING is done in my house. Can't sit if a find a crumb, have to get it. The best book I have ever read is a very small book "Mr. God This is Anna" by Sydney Hopkins under the pseudonym "Fynn" This small book has never left my heart.

    I always enjoy your post.

  23. Dear Vanessa, I am tres envious of your organisational abilities (number three on your list). My to-do list is never finished and there are some really old items on it. I am constantly playing catch-up both at work and at home. If you felt so inclined, a post on how to be efficient and up-to-date would be much appreciated by those of us a little lacking in this area!
